Vadim Gluzman, violin David Danzmayr, conductor Silvestrov - Hymne - 2001 for String Orchestra Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto Brahms - Symphony No. 2 Artistic leaders David and Vadim reunite for our season finale! Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov's moving "Hymne - 2001" opens the program. Vadim performs Tchaikovsky's "Violin Concerto," one of the most celebrated works of the violin repertoire, on the 'ex-Leopold Auer' Stradivari, for which the concerto was composed. David conducts Brahms' "Symphony No. 2" to end the season with cheerful triumph and majestic glory.
